Let's Go Picking Apples!

Each fall, it has become a tradition for us to visit Apple Valley Orchards to pick apples, pumpkins and gourds for eating (enough apples to last for weeks!) and decorating the house. Plus they have a little store with baked goodies like apple cookies, crisp and pie and, of course, caramel apples! All so delicious. It's always a perfect morning, as most autumn days are, and on this occasion we were joined by the tiny cousins which made for the best pictures ever. Of course, we dressed them for the occasion. :)

A Fall Wreath Workshop {You Are Invited!}

Exciting news! We have finally set all the details in place for our next Green Bay creative workshop event. Sunny and I will be hosting a fresh flower fall wreath workshop on Saturday, November 22nd at noon. This is going to be so amazing, you guys, and you will have the opportunity to create a beautiful natural wreath (think of the gorgeous fall flowers, berries, and greenery) just in time to greet Thanksgiving guests at your door or cheerfully decorate your holiday table.

We hope you can make it out and look forward to an afternoon getting to know new friends, laughing with the old, sipping our coffees and munching on some delicious fall treats.

ARTgarage is our location of choice for this event and it is a beautiful spot to foster creativity, find inspiration and get those DIY juices flowing. So don't hesitate, please join us! Send me an email to sign up for the event and reserve your spot and supplies to make your floral wreath. The cost for participation is $30.

Happy weekend everyone! Enjoy that magnificent fall sunshine.

Mama and Mini Style {the good stuff!}

Eeeeee! Look at that face and those legs.

Scarlet and I met with our friend Eric to shoot a little fall fashion feature for you guys. Plus I'm all for any opportunity or excuse to get some pretty pictures with my little lady. There's something so unique and unbelievably beautiful about Eric's captures and style and we are so lucky to have him. :) I shot my sister's pictures in this same field just 2 days later and I think it's cool to see how different (and also similar) our perspectives are from behind the lens all the way to print. I'm also completely taken with film and Eric's encouraged me to give it a try. Will have to see if I am brave enough to take the plunge one day.
For this shoot I wore a ruffled lace, full length dress and used it as a base for everything. I thought I'd have some fun playing with the top layers and showing off a few of my favorite fall patterns and textures.
