Beloved Summer

Hello friends! I'm off tomorrow, heading to California for a holiday with the family and we'll be away for 6 days. So I'm not sure how often I'll have a chance to visit here with you but you can be sure that I'll collect a ton of photos while I'm there and have plenty to share next week. 

So in between the madness that is happening at my home today, I'm sharing just a few images of summer, this absolutely perfect specimen of a season that we've had this year. There have been so many happy memories made!

Oh summer, you are so loved.

A Photo Shoot - the Artel family

I'm so pleased to share these pictures with you today. Meet Genna (below) a beautiful mom to 2 littles - Ella and Ethan. Her husband gave her this photo shoot for mother's day! Isn't that sweet? We met at Green Bay's Botanical Gardens for this shoot and it could not have been more perfect, an enchanting fairyland.

I have so many favorites here, so here we go!

Sunday Best {paper bag waisted}

An (awfully early) good morning to you! I'm getting things done bright and early today as there's many of them to finish up before day's end. I'll be teaching another dance camp this week, this time to 7-11 year olds, and preparing things for a family trip to Disney Land (California)! We're beyond words excited about this holiday that's now only 3 sleeps away ... but there's so much to prepare to travel with us. And I can't leave behind a messy/dirty house so I'd really like to get in a good cleaning too. Hope we can make it all happen!

Sophie's Senior Pictures

Last week I had the pleasure of taking Sophie's pictures. This was a good creative stretch for me, as her one request was that they be "cool". Now I know how to do pretty, but cool? I wasn't quite sure about that. I thought downtown would be a great backdrop for this session and industrial elements were going to be our best friend there. She was a rockstar to photograph and she kept a smile on her face for the entire 2 hours (shot from 7-9pm). This tomboy was as beautiful as can be, keeping things casual for her senior pictures and sporting some newer, cleaner chucks (which she said she lives in) and even, for a more realistic shot, nose diving into a mound of dirt when in her soccer uniform with the intention of looking like she'd just finished playing. Complete dedication to the sport!
