I'm Still Here ...

Hi friends. I just wanted to check in with you and let you know that I'm still here, just taking a moment. We've had some really sad and overwhelming things happen in our lives over here and well, when the time is right I'll share it with you. But in the meantime, I just need to figure a few things out and sort of refocus my priorities. I still love everything about what this blog represents and seeks to inspire, the love and celebration of every single day, treasuring the little moments and always seeking out the beauty in it all. But often life brings chaos our way and we just have to take a pause and breath ... breathe deeply. So pause with me if you would and I'll see you again very soon.

The Butterfly at 8 Months

Our little girl turned 8 months a couple of days ago and I took a few portraits to document this specific moment in time. She's so amazing in every possible way.

We wore feathers just cause we could. And cause she's not yet ripping everything from her head. Whew.

Mama Style {think pink}

A little Sunday best for you today … the sweetness of candy pink mixed with the yummy coziness of a creamy cabled sweater. Top it off with a few favorite boho jewels and a pair of western booties and I'm good to go. At least on this occasion, to church. I'm feeling the pre-valentine urge to not only inhale all things pink and delicious but wear them too. How about you?

Scarlet's Room Tour

I've been refreshing things around the house since tucking all the Christmas decor away after the holidays and Scarlet's room is no exception, though no room stays untouched really. So I thought I'd take a few new pictures of the updates and the tiny details. This room is an absolute celebration of being a girl … like a ongoing party. It's how I feel about her! Flowers and unicorns, pom poms and tutus, rag dolls and bunnies, arrows and angel wings. Like stepping inside a story book. :)

Just me and my girl wearing a few of our favorite winter outer layers. I mean, a tiny fur coat. Absolute awesomeness right? And a bit of pre-spring neon; just staying ahead of the trends here people.

Also loving this olive green coat with puffy quilted faux leather sleeves. Leather sleeves just make coats look so stunningly cool. Always.
