Dressing {like a "free people" girl} on a Budget

I've mentioned a few times now how much I adore the Free People brand and their boho clothing and accessories. While I have purchased a few FP items, most of them are way over my price preference. So I've taken a look through my closet to see if there are any pieces there that have that same soft, layered, gypsy feel that FP do so well. And I found a few things that were just perfect, though they may be tricky  to style into an outfit that feels both "me" and comfortable. But I love a styling challenge!
 A floor length black skirt (Forever 21) and a cream lace dress that I'd wear as a jacket of sorts (from long, long ago - SA).
These floral pants need a bit of bravery confidence to pull them off, but I think they would look great with a white or black t, rolled up cuffs, and simple sandals.

Pretty shorts with a skirt-y swing.
(Free People)
 A loosely fitting "gypsy" top, one I wore for a Russian character dance solo when I was younger.
A fringed purse.
{Aldo}
 A straw hat.

And a few photos of little E and I, outside and loving that sun.
{necklaces - Goodwill, jacket & jeans - Gap, boots - Free People}
