School's Out for Summer!

We're sitting outside this afternoon, soaking up the sun, after a carnival to celebrate the end of school and the beginning of summer break. Oh, bitter sweet. Parker leaves the friends and teachers he's known for so long now and finally moves forward to new people and places. Sigh. But we have several months before all of that really has to happen so in the meantime, we'll enjoy the 90 odd days of heat and water, ice creams and parties, music and crabby patties. Haha. We'll take boat rides and have sleep overs, do a few things we've never done before like tee-ball and bike riding without training wheels. It's a summer for growing up.

So I'm watching the boys practicing their skills with daddy, gloves on, eyes on the ball. I grew up in a family of girls, so this is so new to me and a little funny. Not to mention the fact that there is no baseball in South Africa and girls don't play soccer. We spent most of our time at the studio. So I'm learning all this sporty stuff for the first time too! Before you judge though, I spent loads of time at swimming galas and track meets. So I'm not completely un-sporty. Haha!

Hello summer!
{necklace - heirloom, jacket - American Eagle, shirt - Gap, shorts - Free People from Besselli (GB), shoes - Payless}
Realizing that my outfit is not completely summer-y with those long sleeves. But this is Green Bay, friends, and summer is still on it's way up here.
