Sun, Sand, and Beach-y Brights {for YOU Magazine}

Our newest issue of YOU magazine is on newsstands now! I had the pleasure of working on two pieces for this issue, shooting 10 incredible ladies for the "Women to Know" story as well as creating this fun fashion story. I'll be sharing the Women to Know photos soon but today I wanted to share this beautifully fun fashion shoot that we shot with my friend Eric Schwanke of Carbon Copy Studios last month. This was a blast to do as we incorporated so many playful summer "props" with those bright, happy clothes. There were plenty of laughs in-between the smizing ;)

Thank you to Sheila who allowed us to crowd her charming little beach for a couple of hours! And to Callista for several awesome props, namely that vintage surfboard I'm pretending to be half as cool as and those colorful sails that pop up in a few pictures. Thank you to Enam who not only modeled with us but also graciously allowed me to steal from her unbelievable wardrobe. All those African prints are the real deal and so incredibly beautiful in person. We just don't see textiles like this in Wisconsin too often (wink, wink) so I cherished the opportunity to show them off. And thank you to the lovely Paige who was my other partner in crime for this and brought all of her Au Naturale girls to the shoot to cheer us on.

It was a pleasure to work with Caroline Quinn at Mint Salon for the first time! She created our hair and makeup looks and used Au Naturale cosmetics, a company that Green Bay is lucky enough to call ours! They are incredible at what they do! All the links to check them out can be found at the end of this post.

Thank you to all who contributed to this!
