A Day in Savannah

Well hello! I'm back again with the rest of our photos from our southern sojourn, this time for a lovely languid day spent in Savannah, Georgia. The drive from Hilton Head, SC to Savannah was under a hour so we took a scenic drive overlooking the swampy lowlands on Valentine's morning, all the while imagining the alligators teeming through the grasses.

We drove immediately to Bull Street in the historic downtown area, parking at Forsyth Park (on a local's recommendation) and walking from one square to the next, each it's own moss covered monument sharing Savannah's history. We stopped for brunch at Collin's Quarter, where I ordered a  Lavender Mocha Latte (delish!) and Brioche French Toast. Then continued on to River Street and walked along the water popping in to River Street Sweets for giant rice crispie treat concoctions on sticks, dipped in all sorts of deliciousness (chocolate, strawberry, sprinkles, candies - just yum), gifts for the kids.

And lastly, there are just a few pictures taken before our dinner that evening. Something fancy. ;)
