Printed Layers

Autumn is on it's way, meandering closer and closer and today, finally, a crisp enough morning to have ample excuse for a pair of (sweetly printed) tights under my cut offs. I'm told by a deary dearest that the first day of Autumn is September 23rd and that we must celebrate with fine food and wine. Sounds perfect! We wait expectantly as the temperatures drop and the leaves do their turning, then pumpkins sneak out onto doorsteps proudly plump to greet their guests. Yet today it rains as I snuggle with little E on the couch and enjoy a particularly funny episode of Yo Gabba Gabba. (Real life happening here at my house.)

I've collected some gorgeous editorial fashion shots of beautiful ladies in to-die-for clothing. Just throw on a chunky knit cardigan and you're good to go! Vintage details are also big for fall and boy am I thrilled about that, cause second hand lovelies are my fave. There's something to be said for that perfect mix of fur, velvet, lace, and beads. And surely we need more opportunity to wear rich florals and plaids. Warms my heart just thinking about it and has my mouth watering for some fragrant apple cider. My South African friends, am I making you long for autumn again? Haha. Not likely ... and certainly not with the white mountains of fluff that will follow.

And this cozy season celebrated in the English countryside? Nothing could possibly be more romantic.

Out for a fashionably fancy fall walk in the city.
