Festive flannel

I had a feverish case of the holiday warm and cozies yesterday, inspired by the new holiday ads for Fossil, which feature their favorite fashion bloggers styled in outfits of their own choosing and photographed for their holiday Lookbook. They have a really great selection of clothing and shoes at Fossil (along with amazing watches, which is what you likely know them for) and it happens to be my husband's favorite place to shop. This lookbook has a quirky-cute selection of pictures with a basic flannel button down styled in a mix up with just about everything, including a tutu skirt! So, my sister had already sent 2 flannel button downs my way and they happen to be the comfiest things ever! For this look I added my "preppy" tweed jacket with my skinny jeans, studded broques, and new snake bangle (close ups to come soon - it's incredible). Plus, I had second day hair so a hat kept the (less luscious) locks covered.
{hat (old) - T J Maxx, jacket (old) - American Eagle Outfitters, flannel & jeans (old) - Forever 21, boots & bangle - Piperlime

My sweet little E is not feeling well this week. Can you tell? We're off to the doctor this morning in fact. Poor thing (but thankfully, this is his first "real big"sick).

Parker took a few pictures of us playing outside in the late afternoon a couple of days ago (not too bright anymore). Oh, that early sun down situation is such a huge bummer!

And then we took one of him. He's the skinny jean king, but they're all developing holes in the knees now. Distressed is an understatement. Wonder how those knees will feel in the winter when the cold air seeps in through the cracks. Knee patches perhaps?

  1. Ah...hopefully your lil' man feels better soon. Ours got his first sick around 12-13 months. Some badass rota virus, aka flu from hell. Here's to a speedy "back-to-your-old-self" recovery.

Oh, and love the flannel look. It's working.
