Gathers of Silk

You may remember this dress from last summer's end (here it is). Today I decided to wear it as a skirt, simply because I'm really loving floor sweeping lengths at the moment, and because this dress seemed completely happy to stretch all the way down to my hips. Yay! 

I have 3 favorite styling/beauty tricks that I'm playing with of late - 

* layering necklaces (and experimenting with mixing color and texture)

* black liquid liner (only new to me but I'm discovering that with practice it's quite addicting!)

* Mix & match (forced on me by this remixing challenge but utterly eye-opending. I literally see my wardrobe with brand new eyes and it has taught me how to layer separates (& jewelry) in interesting ways, something I was not very good at before)

Also loving -

* wedges (can't stop looking at Jeffrey Campbell's crazy high beauties)

* long dresses, of course

* high waist shorts

* bell bottoms

* floral printed shoes
