Workplace Chic {for YOU magazine}

Hello friends!

We have another fashion collab out in this month's issue of YOU magazine and it's time to share the entire shoot with you all. Yay! I worked with Carlee Secor Photography on this story, an incredibly talented photographer who I thought would do a phenomenal job capturing these looks at one of our favorite new local spots to grab a glass of wine, Aardvark Wine Lounge

The owner of Aardvark is a South African friend, Lee-Ann, and I met her soon after she moved to Green Bay about 2 years ago. It's so wonderful having a fellow South African here in Wisconsin (a chance to reminisce and practice my Afrikaans :) and I'm completely amazed at what she has created here with Aardvark, as it's truly a beautiful little spot to have a glass of wine. I especially appreciate the chance to try new wines without being intimidated by a long wine list and a hovering waiter pausing as I decide on something tooth achingly sweet and obviously unsophisticated. When you arrive you're given a card that can be slipped into the machine, and then you select your wine and have the option of pouring a full glass, half glass or just a taste. Your card keeps track of how much you've spent and it's how you pay. So it's a great way to taste something new to you without having to commit to a full glass. And we recommend the delicious charcuterie boards. "The South African" features some of our beloved biltong and droe wors (heaven for me) along with a variety of perfectly paired cheeses, nuts, fruit, chutney and bread. All in a truly yummy combination. And I tried "The Scandinavian" board on Thursday evening (went for our date night) and it was reaaaaallly good too, you guys. Perfect for salmon lovers.

Okay, enough about the food and wine, let's get to these outfits!
(A little of the silly to wrap it all up ;)
